A boutique book was created featuring Aaron Carson’s poetry. The poems and the book contrasted the two worlds of the poet; the traditional world of poetry with the world of live broadcasting and performance. Graphically the book contrasted and combined graphic vernaculars – that of traditional poetry (beautiful and ornate) with evocative images conjured by the text. It was important that Aaron’s delivery and characterisation of the poems were retained, and that key phrases could jump off the page.
